How to set up a company in Anguilla | IBC formation

Step 1
Preparation
  • Advisory team will check the company name for a new company. There are some regulation regarding the name which won’t be used for the registration if the name
    • shall not be the same as, or similar to, the name or business name of any other person if the use of that name would be likely to confuse or mislead unless the other person consents in writing to the use of that name in whole or in part, and if required by the Registrar, provides an undertaking acceptable to the Registrar to cease carrying on business under that name within 6 months of the date of the undertaking
    • shall not be identical to the name of a body corporate incorporated under the laws of Anguilla before 1st January, 1995;
    • shall not suggest or imply the patronage of Her Majesty or any member of the Royal Family or connection with Her Majesty’s Government or any department thereof in the United Kingdom or elsewhere; shall not suggest or imply a connection with a political party or a leader of a political party;
    • shall not suggest or imply a connection with a university or a professional association recognized by the laws of Anguilla unless the university or professional association concerned consents in writing to the use of the proposed name; and
    • shall not be a name that is prohibited by the regulations

Step 2

  • Processing time: You can select 2 time frames depending on the urgency of your request. For normal cases, a company can be formed in about 3-4 working days, while urgent cases can be processed and completed in 2 working day only. The process duration counts after the receipt of full payment and all required documents.
